   About the Founder – Kareen T. Scott

With over 22 years of experience in healthcare operations, fiscal management, and compliance, I bring deep expertise in helping providers and organizations transform their billing and administrative systems into efficient, profitable, and compliant operations.

A former Billing Director for the NYC Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, I’ve managed complex, multimillion-dollar contracts and led teams in mental health, housing, and community-based healthcare programs. Over the past 17 years, I’ve specialized in repairing and rebuilding Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) systems—helping clinics and private practices achieve maximum claim reimbursement and sustainable growth.


I understand firsthand the day-to-day challenges that providers face — from credentialing delays and claim denials to EHR inefficiencies and compliance risks. That’s why my work is not just about fixing billing — it’s about creating structure, clarity, and confidence across your entire operation.

Having served as an Insurance Referral Clerk, Hospital Fiscal Analyst, and Billing Director, and later managing 12 federal contracts for NYC’s HOPWA Program, I’ve developed the practical, financial, and regulatory insight needed to strengthen every aspect of a healthcare organization.

Today, through Claim Care Solutions (CCS), I continue that mission—helping providers and organizations modernize their billing, compliance, and operational workflows with AI-powered solutions and personalized consulting that deliver results. Active Leadership & Service

I currently serve on the Board of Directors for 1441 Incorporated, where I support House of A.R.M.S., a 24-hour, full-service wellness recovery program dedicated to helping adult men and young adults (ages 18–50) achieve long-term stability through substance-abuse recovery, re-entry services, and mental-health support in a safe, structured residential environment.


In partnership with United Communities Against Poverty (UCAP), I’ve helped coordinate community initiatives that provide non-perishable food items to local families—delivering over 300 quality meals to youth, adults, and seniors in need.


Through 1441 Incorporated, I also help collaborate with NPUT – Need People U Trust, a youth-mentoring program that empowers adolescent boys (ages 12–24) through social-emotional learning, mentorship, and personal development. The program focuses on building emotional resilience, healthy relationships, and positive decision-making skills for lifelong success.


Before founding Claim Care Solutions, I worked in New York City’s public-health sector, where I gained extensive experience in healthcare finance, compliance, and community-program operations.

At Claim Care Solutions (CCS), mental health and wellness are at the heart of everything we do. Our mission extends beyond billing and operational processes—we believe in supporting the communities we serve with integrity, compassion, and lasting impact.


Community Honors & Recognition


Award for Performance Excellence

Presented in recognition of outstanding leadership, advocacy, and commitment to community empowerment during my early career years as a 1199 SEIU Union Delegate and Out-of-State Community Organizer.
My work helped launch multiple regional chapters nationwide—including initiatives in California, New Jersey, Albany, Washington D.C., Boston, Chicago and St. Louis. Just to name a few places —expanding access to support and resources for healthcare professionals all across the U.S.


Building Healthy Foundations for the Next Generation

During the first half of the 2000s, I volunteered with the NYC Food Bank, visiting public schools throughout New York City to teach Pre-K children how to cook and eat healthy.

This experience deepened my belief that wellness begins with education—a value that continues to guide my work under ReMa’s Kitchen Corner, which focuses on food, fresh produce, nutrition, family, and community health.


Honoring Strength Through Advocacy

I founded the Think Positively Pink Annual Awards & Dinner in New York City to honor women who embody strength, resilience, and hope. In Remembrance of my grandmother, a breast cancer survivor.

At the first annual event, I celebrated ten inspiring women survivors, honoring them with dinner, gift bags, and a night of celebration. From the proceeds, I made a meaningful contribution to community-wellness initiatives, followed by a second event in Harlem supporting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

I plan to relaunch the event in New York City, continuing its legacy of celebrating survivors and raising awareness through education, unity, and compassion.


Expanding Community Wellness in Atlanta

After relocating to Atlanta, GA in 2021, I worked with a non-profit organization focused on HIV and AIDS advocacy through community wellness.

During this time, I contributed to their operational process improvement, community outreach, and program infrastructure, including:

  • Facility maintenance, property reconstruction, and landscape renewal
     
  • Coordinated community wellness events
     
  • Enrolling participants in health and credentialing programs
     
  • Designing fiscal reports and compliance-tracking systems
     
  • Implementing Salesforce, AdvanceMD EHR, Asana, and Bill.com to improve organizational efficiency
     

This work remains one of my most rewarding professional experiences, bridging advocacy with innovation.
